A variety of recreational activities revolve around the lake, offering visitors the opportunity for swimming, fishing, boating, camping, hiking, and horseback riding.

5 cross country ski trail miles and 9 snowmobile miles. The visitor center, along with interpretive exhibits are sure to make your stay here as complete as it can be.

Glacial Lakes State Park
Wildflowers and prairie grasses blanket the landscape from spring through fall.
The park contains scenic glacial hills and vast, open prairie which once dominated Minnesota.
56-acre Mountain Lake has fresh, clear waters where you can swim, fish, and boat (electric motors only).
A shady, spacious campground is available; horseback riders and backpack campers can camp at the trail center and at remote sites.
Canoe rental available.
A picnic area deck overlooks Mountain Lake.
Glendalough State Park
Undeveloped shoreline and six lakes:
With more than nine miles of Undeveloped shoreline,
this angler's paradise is one of the last large tracts of undeveloped lakeshore and land in west central Minnesota.
335-acre Annie Battle Lake offers a designated "Heritage Fishery".
This lake, located near the park campground, was for the most part, a private fishing lake for many years, and its fish populations and sizes are more comparable to historic times than most public fishing lakes.
Very large bass and panfish are still relatively abundant, as are walleyes of good eating size.
Special experimental regulations are in effect to preserve the serenity of this undeveloped lake and give anglers the opportunity to catch these sizeable fish.
As a result, visitors can experience fishing as it was 100 years ago.
Molly Stark Lake, also in Glendalough, has the typical motorized boating and fishing opportunities.
Cedar Rose Wild Prairie
A private 95 acre peaceful prairie-woodland, Cedar Rose Wild Prairie is for guests of Cedar Rose Inn.
This unique and exclusive year-round reserve is home to native tall grass prairies, wildflowers, sky blue waters, abundant wildlife and bird species,
and three miles of nature trails.
